Hello Grace Vineyard and Friends!
Welcome to another Grace Vineyard Email Update. I hope you’ve had a great week. This is a very special week and day for me: Today is my father’s 90th birthday! We have about 90 friends and family from all over the place visiting this weekend for his big birthday party this afternoon. I’ve been spending hours going through decades of photo albums, scanning pictures to make a video slideshow for the party. What a walk down memory lane! Yet another experience to remind me of what is really important in life — sharing life with others! Of course, that’s essentially what Jesus said was the greatest commandment — Love God and Love your neighbor. It’s always good to remind ourselves of what’s eternal and what isn’t, and to choose a life that prioritizes the eternal. I encourage you to slow down, especially as the holiday season kicks into gear, and prioritize relationships. Slow down and enjoy the experience of your relationship with the Lord. Slow down and enjoy the experience of the myriad of relationships you have all around you. There is so much richness in … here’s that funny greek word … koinonia (remember, it sounds like “gonna need ya”) — rich, sharing of life with God and with others.
This Sunday – CJ Orndorff
This Sunday we have a very special treat for you: CJ Orndorff of 2nd Chance Outreach Ministries is in town and he’ll be speaking at Grace Vineyard in the morning. Most of you know him by now, but for those who don’t know him, CJ is a dear friend and ministy partner of Grace Vineyard and me personally for over 3 decades. A highly gifted preacher and singer, CJ’s primary ministry focus is ministering to those who are incarcerated around the nation. Whenever he’s in town we love to see him at Grace. Prepare to get fired up!

That’s right, no church on Sunday, December 25th. And this year Ammee Huzil is planning a Christmas Eve service with a place for just about anybody to participate. Here’s the info she’d like you to know:
