Hello Grace Vineyard Family and Friends of Grace Vineyard.  Greetings to you!

It’s another beautiful week in Oceanside, and we are looking forward to a wonderful weekend.

Abide!  This Sunday morning.

Get ready for a very inspirational Sunday morning at Grace Vineyard!  When Damien Allen of Canyon Vineyard was with us a few weeks back I told you that we were doing a “pulpit swap” and that I would be speaking at Canyon Vineyard on June 8th.  I’m really gonna miss being with you guys this Sunday, especially since our great friend Sharon Mitchell will be speaking at Grace Vineyard while I’m gone.  If you haven’t heard her yet, you are definitely in for a real treat.  Sharon absolutely exudes joy and an infectious love for Jesus. She’s going to open the Word starting in John 15 where Jesus tells us that He is the vine and we are branches and if we abide in Him we will certainly bear much fruit.  Sharon is going to talk about what it means to truly abide in Christ in these divided and confusing times.  Everything we are is centered on our connection to the vine!  Worship starts at 9:30 AM as always.  If you are unable to be here in person, you can join us online on Zoom with this link: Zoom Meeting ID  153 112 432, Passcode 684814.  You can also find our livestream on Facebook Live at facebook.com/gracevcf.

Last Sunday I preached a sermon on Winning our Spiritual Battles with Prayer and Praise.  If you’d like to hear that sermon again, you can watch it on our YouTube channel right here:

Prayer After Church This Sunday!

Last Sunday our topic was “Winning Our Spiritual Battles with Prayer and Praise”, and at the end of the service we put the message into practice with Praise.  Now it’s time to put the Prayer part into practice!  Please stay around for about 1 hour after church to spend time in prayer.  There is no question, prayer is what changes things! Please join the team on the terrace at the back of the theater to call on the Lord for the needs of our church and community.  The time will fly and you’ll partner with the Lord in His chosen means for accomplishing His purposes in our world.

Jesus Walk on Saturday, June 14

I am so happy to be able to tell you that we have another Jesus Walk scheduled for June 14th at 10am.  I LOVE it when we go into our community to share the love of Jesus and His power to restore broken lives!  We’ll meet at the Oceanside Parking Structure on the corner of Seagaze and Cleveland Street at 10 am.  Then we’ll just go for a walk along the strand and meet people along the way.  Usually we have somebody playing a guitar and helping us sing some worship songs as we walk.  We’ll have conversations about Jesus with folks we meet, and probably have opportunities to pray for people.  You can already be praying for the Holy Spirit to set up some divine appointments, and He always does!  Our walk will end at Tyson Park where we will join Tatum and Gabriel to celebrate the birth of their twin babies.  We will be providing hamburgers and hotdogs. Anything that anybody might want to bring as a side dish feel free to do so. If you have questions, reach out to Mark Newell at 760-715-1611.

Serving Unsheltered Neighbors, Friday, June 13

We are providing a meal of sloppy joes, with sides such as baked beans, potato salad, fruit salad and green salad for the residents of the San Diego Rescue Mission in Oceanside (3131 Oceanside Blvd, Oceanside). We’ll be a part of their Start of the Summer Party with a snow cone machine, outdoor games like cornhole, Connect 4, and giant Jenga, and even the Brick Bus—a mobile LEGO play space and possibly a craft for the guests.  If you’d like to sign up to volunteer to serve dinner,  bring food or help with the activities, there will be a table in the lobby after the Sunday morning service.  Food needs to arrive by 4:30pm and volunteers can begin to arrive at 4pm for set up. We will serve the meal at 5 pm.  Please call or text Venita for more information  (760) 573-4429.

Men’s Breakfast with Will Felton, Saturday, June 14

Coming up on Saturday, June 14th, is our next Men’s Breakfast at Ty’s Burgerhouse.  We meet at 8:00AM and enjoy a great breakfast with our brothers from Grace Vineyard.  This month we’ll be hearing from Will Felton!  I’m looking forward to a great time with the guys.

Women of Grace Saturday Morning Walk, June 14

June 14th is a day full of activities!  Our Women of Grace will meet at the main entrance on Guajome Lake Road (off Hwy 76) at 9am for our monthly Ladies Walk/Hike.  When you turn into the park, the entrance is the first right.  Free parking is past the entrance on the left  and right sides of Guajome Lake Road and on Old Ranch Road.  Otherwise, parking doesn’t open until 9:30.  Please let Kathy Green know if you plan to attend 760.583.1779.
