Well, Summer is officially over and Fall is upon us. I was actually feeling a little cold one evening this week! I love this charm of this time of year. At Grace Vineyard, Fall almost always means it’s time for our Women’s Retreat.
This year’s women’s retreat is November 14-16 in Pine Valley, and our guest speaker is Blair Fabry. Our retreat’s theme this year is “When Trees Walk – Lessons in Spiritual Sight”, from Mark 8:22-26. There will be a sign up table in the lobby with all the info you need to get registered. Please stop by this Sunday, or contact Kim Ohst at text/call: 760-519-4558, email:kimohst@gmail.com. Private bath lodges are $270, shared bathroom lodges are $250 and dorm rooms are $215. There are a limited number of Private Bath Lodges available. You can pay online or place money/checks in the offering, or even pay at the Retreat Info table on Sunday morning. When paying online or in the offering, please note that the payment is for the retreat. In order to reserve the appropriate room, please email and let Kim know what kind of room you are reserving when you make a payment. I will confirm if that type of room is available. $50 deposit will hold the room.
Make & Bake Sale for Retreat Scholarship This Sunday
Sunday morning (tomorrow, September 28) before and after church there will be a Make and Bake sale with baked goods and craft items for sale to help with scholarships for the women’s retreat. We’ll have our handy dandy credit card reader available, but we still think cash is even better (and usually faster)! Whichever payment technology you choose, please come prepared to buy some great stuff AND support our women.
The Way of Jesus, Week 3
This Sunday, Chaplain Jason DiPinto we’ll be bringing week 3 of “The Way of Jesus”. This has been such a great series! Matthew 10:1, 7-8 says, “1 And he called to him his twelve disciples and gave them authority over unclean spirits, to cast them out, and to heal every disease and every affliction…7 And proclaim as you go, saying, ‘The kingdom of heaven is at hand.’ 8 Heal the sick, raise the dead, cleanse lepers, cast out demons.” This week’s theme is how Jesus passes his Kingdom mission to the Church. Come prepared to be equipped for Kingdom Ministry.
