The Healing Power of Forgiveness
Last Sunday we began a new series. We’re learning some practical skills for relational wholeness, all under the banner of Pursuing Unity for the Glory of God. If you missed last Sunday, I’d encourage you to try to listen to the message before Sunday so we can all be on the same page. I first talked about why Unity is such a big deal to God and His plan for humanity, and then talked about the particular relationship skill of loving confrontation. Here it is on our YouTube channel:
This coming Sunday we’re going to continue with another relationship skill that is often really misunderstood in our culture. We’ll be talking about the Healing Power of Forgiveness. We’ll explore what forgiveness is and what it isn’t and we’ll talk practically about how to forgive. Mom 2 Mom Goes to the Beach Saturday, August 2nd
The Mom2Mom group will be meeting on August 2 starting at noon in front of the picnic shelter at Oceanside Harbor, we’ll be having hamburgers, hot dogs and chicken sausages. Bring sides or snacks to share and your own drinks. Look for the pop up with pink balloons. Call/text Sheri Winter for more information 760.208.8403.
Last week I started telling you about our Zambia Missions trip that begins on August 4th. This week I’m making sure you know that we need 5 more Large, Lightweight suitcases. We are taking over 100 backpacks with us, and we need 6 large suitcases to carry them, and we’ve already received 1. If you have a suitcase that you are willing to donate (we are planning on leaving the suitcases there), please let me know ASAP. Ladies Retreat November 14-16th at Pine Valley
Ladies, you can begin to pay for our fall retreat. Private bath lodges are $270, shared bathroom lodges are $250 and dorm rooms are $215. There are a limited number of Private Bath Lodges available. You can pay online or place money/checks in the offering. Please note that the payment is for the retreat. In order to reserve the appropriate room, please email and let me know what kind of room you are reserving when you make a payment. I will confirm if that type of room is available. $50 deposit will hold the room. You can call Kim Ohst for more information 760-519-4558.
