Ladies Walk & Men’s Breakfast
If you happen to be reading this letter first thing on Saturday morning, then there’s still time for you to join the monthly Ladies Walk and Men’s Breakfast.
On Saturday, July 12, at 9am, the Ladies will meet at the Parking Lot 1 Tunnel across from Joe’s Crab Shack: 401 Riverside Dr, Oceanside. Please let Kathy Green know if you plan to attend 1 760-583-1779.
Our monthly men’s breakfast is also on Saturday, July 12, at 8am at Ty’s Burgerhouse. We meet for some great fellowship over a delicious breakfast. Then we worship together, listen to an inspirational talk from one of the guys, and end with an opportunity to respond with prayer for each other. Men, this is a great way we connect every month, and I hope you’ll do your best to join us this month. David Yoder is our speaker this Saturday!
Prayer Walk on Sunday
On Sunday for our monthly prayer meeting, we are going to do a prayer walk! We’ll meet right after church and walk through the neighborhood, praying as we go. Wear your walking shoes!
One in Christ – Pursuing Unity for the Glory of God
This Sunday I’m going to launch what I believe will be a 4 week series where we’ll learn from the scriptures about God’s plan for us to grow in relationship with each other, with our trinitarian God (Father, Son, and Holy Spirit) as the model. Relational Wholeness in the body of Christ is a non-negotiable goal for all Christians who follow the teachings of the Bible. We’ll learn some practical skills to help us overcome some of the most common obstacles in relationship. Zambia Missions Trip
If you haven’t heard yet, we have a missions team going to Zambia at the beginning of August on the 4th, returning on August 20. There’s 3 of us on the team – Bryce Ohst, a long time friend of Bryce’s from Calvary Chapel Oceanside named Emilio Montaño, and myself. Mom 2 Mom Goes to the Beach Saturday, August 2nd
Starting at noon in front of the picnic shelter at Oceanside Harbor, we’ll be having hamburgers, hot dogs and chicken sausages. Bring sides or snacks to share and your own drinks. Look for the pop up with pink balloons. Call/text Sheri Winter for more information 760.208.8403.
Ladies Retreat November 14-16th at Pine Valley
Ladies, you can begin to pay for our fall retreat. Private bath lodges are $270, shared bathroom lodges are $250 and dorm rooms are $215. There are a limited number of Private Bath Lodges available. You can pay online or place money/checks in the offering. Please note that the payment is for the retreat. In order to reserve the appropriate room, please email and let me know what kind of room you are reserving when you make a payment. I will confirm if that type of room is available. $50 deposit will hold the room. You can call Kim Ohst for more information 760.519.4558.
