Hello Grace Vineyard Family and Friends,
It’s time for this week’s Weekly Update.
I hope you’ve all had a great week and are ready to head into the weekend. It’s going to be another full one! Those of us who are doing the Alpha Course are excited to enter into our Alpha Weekend on Saturday morning at 9am. If you started Alpha with us earlier, we’d love to have you join us. It will be from 9am-1pm on Saturday, and then again on Sunday evening at 6pm. If you didn’t join us for Alpha this time, we are loving it so much that we almost certainly will launch a new session soon.

This coming Sunday, I plan to continue on the theme of Prayer with a message I’m calling, “The Posture of Prayer – Humility | Faith | Reverence | Awe”.
There are several postures we do well to take when we pray – postures of the heart and even postures of the body. The postures of Humility and Faith, Reverence and Awe, for example. Physically, these might look like kneeling in prayer, or opening our hands to receive, or standing with hands stretched up to the heavens. The most important is the posture of the heart, and the posture of our heart will impact how we approach God in prayer, what we pray for, and even why we pray. Memorial Day Weekend BBQ-Potluck
This is Memorial Day Weekend! It’s also time for our quarterly all church potluck. Since this is the Memorial Day Weekend holiday, we’re going to make it a Hot Dog and Hamburger day. And since the church has a BlackStone grill for our men’s breakfasts now, we’re going to provide the Hot Dogs and Hamburgers, and ask that you just bring a side dish. If you haven’t signed up to bring anything yet, could you please send a text to Steve Rogers at 760-500-4324 to let him know what you’ll be bringing? Thanks! It will be great to share a meal with you again!
Mom2Mom is next Friday, May 29th.
Are you a mom in need of support from other moms? Or are you a mom who has been there and wants to lend your support to others? Then you are welcome to Mom 2 Mom, a peer to peer and mentoring group designed to uplift, enrich, share and connect moms. We’ll gather Friday, May 29th at 6pm at Grace Vineyard on the terrace for a program that will include sharing a meal, connecting, and inspiration.
