Hello Grace Vineyard family and friends,
Today I’m writing to you from Ndola, Zambia in Africa. We’re just completing our 2nd week of ministry, and it has been great. Here’s a video update that our friend Paul Dabdoub put together for us: just click on this link – https://youtu.be/qjk7Q0rdFGk?si=4XWL8B5hBfHGt5NK
He made this video from Itezhi-Tezhi on July 27. It was the last stop on the road trip part of our adventure. I think you’ll notice how tired we are in look in this video – driving for hours on these very bumpy roads, and then going into ministry times, can be exhausing, but so worth it! We got up the next morning to drive back to Lusaka where we started from the day we arrived in Zambia. The Lord did many wonderful things including doing a lot of healing ministry. Everywhere we have been the pastors have told us how built up their congregations are and how much it means for us to come all this way to be with them.
The day after we got to Lusaka, we took a short flight (maybe 45 minutes) to Ndola, the city where we are right now. Upon arrival in Ndola we drove to the Vineyard church where Damas Kamfwa is pastor (many of you have heard Damas preach when He visited with us in February). Here, we’ve been teaching at a school of ministry, and it has been wonderful. Tomorrow Paul will preach in their morning service, and we’ll have a commissioning of I think 12 students graduating from the Bible School here. Then in the evening we’ll be leading a Holy Spirit Outpouring service. This should be fun! On Monday we’ll be putting on a Children’s Feeding program and providing people from the surrounding communities 25Kg bags of Mealie Meal (basically this is corn flour), and probably some kind of protein, probably dried fish. Some of you were helping us to raise $500 for this event, THANK YOU! We actually raised closer to $600 with another additional $250 from Thrivent Financial, so we are going to be able to provide even more food for more. I asked Damas to give me a rough estimate how many people we could feed with $500 when originally asked for. Here’s what he said: “We will buy 20 x 25kg bags of mealie meals to give 20 households, 20 x750mls c/oil, and finally, we feed 80 vulnerable kids in our community. Just to give you an idea, an average household here is between 8 to 12 people. So, when distributing 20 bags, you are literally feeding over 180 people for three weeks at least with two meals per day.” Amazing. I’m confident we’ll have many opportunities to pray for people as well.
Paul will head back to the U.S. on August 6th, and I’ll head back to Lusaka where I’ll meet our Grace Vineyard team to servein the Breath of Heaven children’s village until our return flight on August 17th.

Rich and Stacy Davis have just finished 20 years of missions work in Kenya where Rich has served as a surgeon in the Kijabe hospital. I look forward to the stories they’ll share as they open up the Word for us on Sunday morning.
