Happy 4th of July, Grace Vineyard Family and Friends!
I am at a family reunion in Dewey Arizona with lots of extended family right now. My brother has about 5 acres where he lives and has created a camp ground for extended family. It’s great to be together with loved ones this holiday weekend. There are tents and RVs and an outdoor swimming pool. My brother and his nephews and nieces built a giant slip-n-slide, our niece brought their 2 horses, another niece brought their side-by-side (an ATV for 4), we’re playing games and having big potlucks with 4 generations of family and friends. It doesn’t get much better than this! I hope you all are able to spend some time with people you love this holiday, giving thanks for all of God’s blessings and the freedoms we enjoy.

Sunday’s Message: You Are What You Eat
I am driving home on Saturday, so I plan on being with you Sunday morning, but I’ve asked Matt Evans to bring the message, and he’s got a good one for us! We are all constantly in the process of becoming something. What we consume determines what we’ll become. That’s called spiritual formation — we have each been formed spiritually, and who we are spiritually today is the result of our spiritual formation up to this point. Our spiritual formation goal is to be formed into the image of Christ, and we can be intentional about our spiritual formation. In other words, “You are what you eat.”. I hope you can be with us on Sunday morning at 9:30 as we worship and Matt opens up the Word for us. Prayer Walk After Church Next Sunday
Next Sunday (July 13) for our monthly prayer meeting, we are going to do a prayer walk! We’ll meet right after church and walk through the neighborhood, praying as we go. Wear your walking shoes!
Chosen Season 4 Group Monday Nights
Spanish Ministry Every Monday Night
I want to make sure all of us know that the Spanish Ministry is fully up and running on Monday nights in the Upper Room! We have been praying for this for years, and it’s finally happening – I’m so excited! Cris and Paola Marquez are the main leaders and contacts for more info, but I can tell you there is a great group of people coming together with them who are all leaders in their own right, serving together to serve our Spanish speaking community. If you speak Spanish, I think you’ll love this group. If you know somebody who speaks Spanish (and who in San Diego doesn’t know somebody who speaks Spanish?!) please invite them. They’re calling it “La Viña Oceanside”, which means “The Vineyard Oceanside” in Spanish. They worship, Study the Bible, Fellowship, have prayer ministry and more every Monday night at 7pm. Face to Face Friday, July 18th
Next Saturday Men’s Breakfast and Ladies Walk
Men and women, mark your calendars for next Saturday, July 12. Men, we’ll be at our monthly men’s breakfast at Ty’s Burgerhouse at 8am. We have a great breakfast, worship together, and hear an inspiring word from one of the guys. It’s just a great time of fellowship with the Men of Grace. Women – you meet for your monthly ladies walk/hike at a location to be announced. You get the best of all worlds — enjoy nature, have some great fellowship with other women, and even get a little bit of exercise.
