Hello Grace Vineyard Family and Friends of Grace Vineyard!

It’s time for our Weekly Update.  I think this one will be pretty quick.

The first thing I want to let you know is that Ted Lawler, founder and president of Breath of Heaven Children’s Ministry, will be with us this Sunday.  Ted has a message burning on his heart, and it fits perfectly with what we’ve been studying in the series we’ve been doing on God’s Empowering Presence – he’ll be preaching on The Person and the Work of the Holy Spirit.  Ted has a rich history with the Holy Spirit, and I can’t wait to be inspired and challenged and equipped by the message he has for us.  Come hungry!  If you can’t be with us in person, here’s the link for the Zoom channel: Zoom Meeting ID  153 112 432, Passcode 684814, and here’s where you would go for the Facebook Live channel: facebook.com/gracevcf.

Clothing Sorting Saturday, May 3rd 10:30-12:30 at the church

If you read this update first thing in the morning on Saturday, May 3rd, then there’s still time to come help with the clothes sorting project to serve the women of the FRC — we are looking for volunteers (men can help, too!) to help sort the clothing we’ve been gathering for the FRC ladies.   We’re meeting at the church on Saturday, May 3rd, from 10:30-12:30.  We also need people to help transport the sorted clothing to the FRC next week.  Please let Kim Ohst know if you can help 760.519.4558.

Family Recovery Center Dinner (FRC) Saturday May 10th

We will be decorating and serving a blessing dinner at the FRC, a residential drug treatment program for moms.  We need men to help walk the ladies to dinner and people to bring Italian themed food: pasta dishes, bread, salad.  We did this dinner last year and it was loved by the ladies, I hope you’ll join us.  Set up for the dinner at the FRC (1100 Sportfisher Dr., Oceanside) at 1pm.  Food delivered by 3:30.  Dinner will be served at 4pm.  For more information, see the sign up table in the lobby or call Kim Ohst 760.519.4558.

Ladies Retreat November 14-16th at Pine Valley

Ladies, you can begin to pay for our fall retreat.  Private bath lodges are $270, shared bathroom lodges are $250 and dorm rooms are $215.  There are a limited number of Private Bath Lodges available.  You can pay online or place money/checks in the offering.  Please note that the payment is for the retreat.  In order to reserve the appropriate room, please email and let me know what kind of room you are reserving when you make a payment.  I will confirm if that type of room is available.  $50 deposit will hold the room. You can call Kim Ohst for more information 760.519.4558.
