Hello Grace Vineyard Family and Friends!
This week I was in Colorado Tuesday evening through Thursday morning for an annual meeting with the leaders of Vineyard USA. It was great to be with the leaders of our movement who come from all over the USA as we renewed our calling and vision in the face of many challenges churches across the nation are dealing with. I’m excited about the future of our movement around the world, and our part right here at Grace Vineyard. If you’ve never checked it out, you would do well to visit vineyardusa.org to learn more about this wonderful family of churches we’re part of.
Important Grace Family Meeting This Sunday
What I experienced in Colorado goes right along with a special meeting our Leadership Council has been planning for this Sunday. If you consider Grace Vineyard your church family, please make every effort to join us for an Important “Family Meeting” this Sunday. We’re planning on slightly shortening our regular service, then at 11:00, Matt Evans, our church board treasurer, is going to share some very important information about the financial challenges we’ve been facing so our church family can all be on the same page. The title of my sermon for Sunday is “Living in the Light of Easter”, and I hope we will gain direction and vision for living out the mission of Jesus. I’m responding to something I believe I heard from the Lord, and hope to address questions that Jesus’ first disciples had to grapple with – now that Jesus has been crucified and resurrected, what’s next? How shall live? What shall we do? I think I’ll be addressing the topic for 3-4 weeks. I’m actually excited about our future in spite of the challenges we are be called upon to overcome, because the vision and provision the Lord has for us is more than enough to forge ahead into a season of thriving and flourishing.
A Call To Prayer and Fasting
Immediately after the “family meeting” this Sunday, we will invite you to join us as we fast lunch and pray for 1 hour. We’ll be doing this for the next several Sundays, as we seek the Lord for favor, provision, and guidance. Prayer and Fasting is powerful in the Kingdom of God. I hope you’ll join us!
Vineyard Regional Conference June 23-25
Click here to watch a short video message from Travis Twyman about the upcoming Central and Southern California Regional Vineyard Conference. There’s something for the whole family with a youth conference and a kids conference! And we’re excited to hear that Jay Pathak, our national director, will be one our key speakers. Click on https://www.inlandvineyard.org/regional-conference for registration info.
In The Midst 777 Concert
I’m always so thrilled when our beautiful theater is available for concerts and theater events. Coming up on April 30, from 2-7pm, In The Midst 777 is hosting a “Concert Party” right here. There will be several great bands, a Christian Comedian, a food truck, raffle items, and a silent auction — it’s a fund raiser to help In The Midst 777 get themselves and their gear to Nashville where they’ve been invited to headline the Music Awards. What an honor for our friends. I hope you can come out and support them.
Celebration of Life for Deb Clark May 7
As most of you know, our wonderful sister Deb Clark has finished her race and is home with the Lord. We will be celebrating her amazing life on May 7th at 1pm. Everyone is invited to join us. We will have a Planned Pot Luck. If your first name begins with A-G bring an Appetizer, H-P Main Dish, Q-Z Side Dish. Coffee, Drinks and Dessert will be provided. If you have any questions, please contact Michelle Ertel at (760) 994-5962.
Soul Care Conference in Poway
We’re inviting folks to check out a Soul Care Conference with Rob Reimer, May 12-14. Get all the details and registration info by clicking here. Soul Care explores seven principles that are profound healing tools of God: securing your identity, repentance, breaking family sin patterns, forgiving others, healing wounds, overcoming fears, and deliverance. This process will help you to unpack the “backpack” of your soul and enable you to walk in freedom in Christ. If you’d like to talk a little more about what this conference is all about, contact Sharon Evans at 760-805-3335 or firstname.lastname@example.org
Oceanside House of Prayer
Finally, I want to remind you that Oceanside House of Prayer has begun meeting here at Grace Vineyard the 1st and 3rd Mondays of every month from 6:00-8:00PM and Thursdays at noon-1pm. This may be the start of a great prayer movement in Oceanside.
That’s it for this week’s update. Please remember, if you call Grace Vineyard your home church, make every effort to join us this Sunday for a special “family meeting”. Sunday service starts at 9:30, as always, and for those who need to stay isolated for health reasons, you can join us online via Zoom at Meeting ID: 812 2225 0027, Password: 006314.
Love and blessings to each of you,
