Hello Grace Vineyard and Friends.

I hope you’re all having a great week here in paradise….a slightly warm paradise, to be sure…but nevertheless a paradise.  Here’s what’s happening at Grace…

It may have snuck up on you like it did on me, but Easter Sunday is next week!  Easter is always a great opportunity to invite our friends to come to church with us.  In fact, why don’t you stop reading this email for a minute and text a friend right now to invite them to come with you.

Monthly Ladies Walk This Saturday

Kathy Green will be leading a walk at Carlsbad Beach this Saturday, April 9th. Meet at 9am on the grassy area at the corner of Pine and Carlsbad Blvd. Please let Kathy know if you plan to attend 760.583.1779

Men’s Breakfast This Saturday

Men, it’s time for our monthly men’s breakfast.  Perhaps you heard about a great guest speaker who came to Grace Vineyard on the Sunday we are at the Men’s retreat. Well, here’s your chance to meet him in person. Luke Bricker is our guest speaker this Saturday, April 9th.  We meet at Ty’s Burgerhouse, 515 Mission Ave, at 8am.  It’s always a great time, and we’d love every man from Grace to enjoy it with us, so come on out this Saturday!

Ladies Afternoon Tea, April 23

Ladies, get ready for an Afternoon Tea at Grace Vineyard.  It’s on Saturday, April 23rd, from 1-4pm, and the ticket price is $10.  Feel free to dress up and wear a hat.  Bring your own favorite teacup.

Soul Care Conference in Poway

This Sunday: The Multiplication of Love

This Sunday is Palm Sunday, the day Christians all over the world celebrate Jesus’ “Triumphal Entry” into Jerusalem, the beginning of “Holy Week” as we remember the days leading up to the Last Supper, the Crucixion, and the Resurrection on Easter Sunday.  Our journey through 1 John brings us to a teaching that fits perfectly as we think about the events of Holy Week, especially Good Friday.  I’ll be teaching on the subject, “The Multiplication of Love”, starting with words Jesus spoke in John’s account of the triumphal entry:  “I tell you the truth, unless a kernel of wheat falls to the ground and dies, it remains only a single seed. But if it dies, it produces many seeds.” (John 12:24-25)   The disciples didn’t understand it on that day, but Jesus was speaking of the ultimate act of love – giving his own life on the cross to pay the debt of all my sins.  John teaches that when I receive that love, I experience a new birth, and that same kind of God-love will multiply through my life.  It’s a remarkable promise.   Let’s look at it together this Sunday.  For those who need to join us online, here’s the zoom info you need: Zoom Meeting ID  153 112 432, Passcode 684814.
