Hello Grace Vineyard and Friends.  Welcome to Spring!

Have you noticed the Spring Flowers everywhere?  This is such a beautiful time of year in San Diego.  Sometimes I need to pinch myself to see if this is just a dream, or do I really get to live in a coastal community in Southern California….one of the most beautiful places and climates on the planet!!

I hope you’re having a full and eventful week as we approach a new weekend.  During our morning zoom prayer meetings this week, several times we were overwhelmed at all the life, in multiple nations, that we are participating in with the Lord.  We are truly blessed.  Read on for some of the opportunities we have to partner with the Lord in His wonderful, redemptive work in the nations.

Tonight and Saturday – CA Will Be Saved Event

The California Will Be Saved Tour is coming to the Oceanside Amphitheater this Saturday, March 26, at 5pm, as they work their way with events from the southern most tip of California to the northernmost tip.  Here’s a fun little video that gives you a little bit of the flavor of this amazing group of young and passionate Jesus People:

If you are super tight on time, jump to 4:58 to hear a quick message from the team.

Our weekend starts with the CAWILLBESAVED Team hosting a pre-event worship and prayer night right here in our beautiful theater at Grace Vineyard, tonight (Friday, March 25) at 6pm.  We would love for you to come and join us as we call out to God for the people of our beloved state.  Then on Saturday, the worship and proclamation of Jesus begins at 5pm at the Oceanside amphitheater.  Please join us in praying this whole weekend for the Lord to pour out His Spirit on Oceanside, draw many to Jesus, heal the sick, comfort the brokenhearted…to bring the Kingdom of God upon us.

Supporting Ukrainian Refugees

Our dear friend Jim Mumper from the Stockholm Vineyard in Sweden has been working tirelessly to help with the refugee crisis in Ukraine right now. He recently wrote this on his Facebook page: “The need is increasing with every passing day. In addition to what we are doing with extraction and providing transport for refugees to come to Sweden, Norway or Denmark, we are providing some funding to others who are on the ground in Poland providing food and shelter to Ukrainian refugees…”   Jim has asked our own Steve Rogers to fly out and assist his efforts on the ground, first by transporting some important provisions that are best purchased in the U.S., and then by helping him transport refugees from the border of Ukraine to safe places in Sweden, Norway, Denmark, Poland, and I think even in Romania.  So Steve is flying out this Monday.  We need prayer and finances to help get Steve out there.  His cost is roughly $1500.  If you would like to make a tax deductible donation to this effort, click on this donate button:

His airfare is roughly $1500. Any amount we receive in excess of $1500 will be given directly the Vineyard USA’s work with the Ukranian Refugees (click here to learn more about that).

Bread of Life Next Friday, April 1

Next Friday is April 1, and that means it is the First Friday of the Month – the day we serve at Bread of Life Rescue Mission.  We need volunteers to show up at 1919 Apple Street in Oceanside at 5pm on Friday, March 4th. We’ll serve our neighbors a hot dinner, welcome and pray for those with needs, and help clean up after dinner. You’ll be done somewhere near 6:30. We also need donations – it costs about $100 to provide a complete meal for all our guests. Call or Text Nancy Beck at 760-696-2078 for more info. Nancy will also be in the lobby this Sunday after church to answer all your questions and get you signed up to help.

And for the ladies…

That’s it for this week’s Grace Vineyard Update.  I’m off to the “Beyond Van Gogh Immersive Experience” today.  Kim’s parents are in town, and Charissa is on Spring Break, so I get a day with my family.  I love my life!

Keep worshiping God and Loving People!!  See you Sunday morning.

With love and blessings,

Ron Ohst
