March 11, 2022

Hi Grace Vineyard and Friends,

Welcome to another one of our weekly update emails.  I hope you are having a wonderful week, and have had an opportunity to step outside, cuz it is beautiful out there today!

Let’s dive in to what’s happening around Grace Vineyard in the coming days….

Men’s Breakfast Saturday March 12

If you’re reading this on Friday (March 11), and you’re a man, make sure you don’t miss our monthly Men’s Breakfast tomorrow morning at 8am.  This month you’ll have an opportunity to meet pastor Tim Parlier of Generation Church.  That’s important because Tim and men from their church are joining us next week when we head up to Palomar Mountain for our Men’s Retreat.  Can you believe it’s here already?!  (I actually surprised myself as I typed that last sentence!)  Join us at 8am tomorrow morning at Ty’s Burgerhouse, 515 Mission Ave (just around the corner from the church).

Worship and Prayer Monday March 14

We are hosting the first (of hopefully many more) prayer and worship night THIS Monday, March 14 at 6pm. Our vision is an unstructured evening of music and prayer that will be very intimate. We have no program. We are not planning songs, we are just coming to worship the Lord and pray together.
” Be still, and know that I am God;
I will be exalted among the nations,
I will be exalted in the earth!”
–Psalm 46:10
We’d also like to invite you to our ongoing online prayer meeting every Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday morning from 7am-8am.  We read a chapter of the Bible together, talk about our personal prayer needs as well as any other needs that are coming up around the world that we think we should pray for, and then we pray.  We see our prayers answered on a regular basis!  The meeting is on zoom, and here’s the info you need to join us.  Join us this week!  Meeting ID: 812 2225 0027, Password: 006314

Ladies Walk Moved to March 19

Normally our monthly Ladies Walk is on the 2nd Saturday of the month, but in March we’ve moved it to the 3rd Saturday, March 19th.  The ladies will be going on the  Batiquitos Lagoon Walk, Saturday March 19 @ 9:00 AM. We will meet at the Batiquitos Lagoon Nature Center (7380 Gabbiano Lane, Carlsbad). Call Kathy Green if you are joining us, 760-583-1779.

California Will Be Saved Tour at Oceanside Amphitheater March 26

Last week I told you about the young man I met who leads California Will Be Saved.  I just want to remind you again so you can make sure to have it on your calendars.  I hope you’ll check them out at https://cawillbesaved.com On Saturday, March 26th, they will be holding a Worship/Evangelism event at the Oceanside Pier Amphitheater.  They partner with local churches to provide prayer ministry at the event and discipleship follow-up after the event.  So please mark your calendars and plan on joining us at 5pm on the 26th.

SoCal Vineyard Region Conference June 23-25

It’s time to get together with the other Vineyard churches in our Southern and Central California Region!  We do this every 2 years. The Central and Southern California regional conference is coming up on June 23-25th at Inland Vineyard Church in Corona. It’s time to worship, enjoy who we are as the Vineyard, pray for one another, and laugh and connect as we always have. The last two years have been anything but normal and we are in a season of change. We are entering into God’s future for our movement, therefore we believe this to be a crucial time to gather together to celebrate who God is and what Vineyard is.  Click here for the latest info: https://www.inlandvineyard.org/regional-conference

Thriving for a Lifetime – Insights from 1 John, week 4

I hope you’ve been getting as much out of our study through 1 John as I have!  Last week we looked at 1 John 2:18-29, in a talk entitled, “Defending Against the Attacks of the Evil One”.  If you’d like to listen to it again (or for the 1st time if you missed it last Sunday) I have 2 options for you.  1st you can check it out on our podcast, gracetalks.org  right here

or you can watch it on our youtube channel right here:

This week will pick up our reading in 1 John chapter 3.  You would do well to read it before Sunday to get your heart ready to receive.

The service starts at 9:30, and we’d love to have you join us in person.  If you need to stay home this Sunday, you can also join us on Zoom with this info:

Zoom Meeting ID  153 112 432, Passcode 684814.

And that’s it for this week’s update.  Have a wonderful weekend, and I’ll see you on Sunday!

Blessings and love to each of you,

Ron Ohst
