Hello Grace Vineyard and Friends. Welcome to Spring!
I was over at The River Gardens this morning to pray with pastors Matt and Amy Stoehr of The River Family Church. We are so excited about celebrating Easter together along with CommonWealth SD church. Many of you joined us there for Christmas Eve, and let me tell you, The Gardens have only gotten more beautiful with new water features and hundreds and hundreds of blooming spring flowers. What a venue for celebrating the Resurrection of Jesus Christ! Our Easter service will be at 10am on April 4th. The address is 390 Mimosa Ave, Vista. That’s only a week from Sunday, so it’s time to start inviting your friends. We’ll be worshiping together, celebrating communion, and they’ve asked me to bring the message – I’ll be presenting the simple Gospel message of the Cross and Resurrection. This is a great opportunity for bringing friends who you are introducing to Jesus.
Here’s a picture I took this morning:
Of course, the Sunday before Easter is Palm Sunday, and that’s what’s coming up for us this week. I’m on a stay-cation with family in town this week, so I’ve invited one of my favorite teachers, our own Shannon Frye, to bring the message. You know it’s going to be great! We’ll be meeting at 9:30 as usual, and we’ll be also broadcasting on Zoom and Facebook for those who can’t be with us in person. Here’s the Zoom info:

We’ll be streaming the Zoom meeting on Facebook live for those who can’t join our zoom meeting; just go to our Facebook page at https://www.facebook.com/gracevcf.
Communion This Sunday
We’ll be taking communion together this Sunday, so if you are joining us from home, please have some juice and bread or crackers ready.
Passover Seder at The River Tuesday
Our friends at The River Church have invited us to join them for a Passover Seder this coming Tuesday, March 30, at 6pm. There is a catered dinner, and Seder Teaching with Rabbi Jack Zimmerman of Jewish Voice Ministries. You’ll need to register beforehand by emailing firstname.lastname@example.org or texting 760-224-4650 with name and number of seats you need. The cost is $15 at the door.
The Third Option Small Group Beginning April 13
By now I suspect you’ve heard that we are launching another 6 week session of The Third Option. I facilitated a group like this back in October, and I found it to be very helpful to me personally in my journey as a disciple of Jesus. I would really like to see as many of our Grace Vineyard people as possible go through this training from Miles McPherson. The group will meet wherever you are – cuz we’re meeting on Zoom. Learn more about the group and how to sign up at https://gracevcf.org/the-third-option/.
2021 Marriage Getaway September 24-26
We are so excited to announce that the annual marriage retreat is going to happen this year again, September 24-26 at the Hyatt Regency Indian Wells Resort & Spa. The Marriage Getaway has been a highlight of the year to many of us for the last decade. This year’s speakers are Bill and Pam Farrel. All the info and registration is at this link. Check out this promotional video:
These Marriage Getaways are extremely popular and could sell out very quickly, so register as soon as you can. Kim and I registered this week, and we hope many more of you will be able to join us! Please note – thanks to some generous donations, 10 Military couples can now go on a full scholarship! If you are a military couple, let us know and we’ll tell you how to take advantage of this incredible gift!
With that, I’ll bring this email to a close. Please keep in mind that we are about half way to our $20,000 goal for the current phase of our Building Refurbishing project. It’s going to make a huge difference when we get the new flooring in. Can’t wait. If you’re ready to donate to the building fund, here’s a link for the building fund: building-fund donation.
Blessings and love to you all,
Tithes and Offerings Online
Thank you for your generosity and faithfulness! We could not do what we do without you. We believe God has chosen to meet the material needs of His church through the tithes and offerings of His people. (Tithe means literally 1/10 or 10% of our income). We encourage everybody to be committed to a church family, and if Grace Vineyard is where you are committed, we’ve provided this online tool for you; click on the “donate” button below to get started. (Note: if you’re giving an offering for the building fund or the benevolence fund in addition to your tithe, please mention that in the notes section after you land on our paypal page). THANKS for taking ownership in the life and ministry of Grace Vineyard – it takes all of us!
