Hello Grace Vineyard and Friends.
It’s Friday! And that means we’re that much closer to seeing each other again. I’m getting great feedback from people who joined us in-person last Sunday; people were so blessed to be in the same physical space together for worship. At the same time we are constantly working on improving our online worship experience. This Sunday we’ll be both in-person and online like last week.
I’m planning on continuing to explore the topic of the Gift and the gifts of the Holy Spirit. We’ll see you at 9:30 as usual, in-person, and online via zoom and facebook live. Here’s the online info (same as last week):

We’re also planning on streaming the Zoom meeting on Facebook live for those who can’t join our zoom meeting; just go to our Facebook page at https://www.facebook.com/gracevcf.
And please note, for those who will be joining us in the building, we will be following California Health Department covid-19 protocols, including wearing face coverings and maintaining 6 feet of distance between households.
This week we are re-launching our Children’s Ministry! We’ll have a program available for 2 years old through 5th grade (no baby nursery at this time). And that brings me to my next thought:
Rebuilding Our Teams
With a return to in-person worship gatherings, we need to rebuild all our service teams. Remember, we are All In this Together, so as many of us who are able need to “show up, suit up, and serve”. Would you like our church to have a stellar children’s ministry that would make you proud to invite your neighbors? Well, then you’re probably called to volunteer in our Children’s Department — contact Debby Gidley at 760-637-9286. Would you like our church to feel wonderfully warm and welcoming to everybody who comes through the front door? Well, then you’re probably called to serve in the Greeter/Usher/Hospitality team — contact Steve Rogers at 760-500-4324. Do you have a heart for young teens and all the challenges they face? Well, then you’re probably called to volunteer with our Jr Hi/High School ministry — contact Lisa Rogers at 760-696-1994. You get the idea. If you are willing to serve in any area at all, please contact us at 760-754-2974 or email@example.com and we’ll get you connected.
Face To Face Women’s Group Tonight!
Ladies, it’s time for Face to Face. Tonight the Women of Grace are meeting in Shannon Frye’s backyard for a beautiful gathering of worship and encouragement in the Word. Haven Madson will be leading in worship, and Ammee Huzil will be leading the ministry in the Word. It’s going to be a beautiful evening, so come on out to 2044 Chestnut Ave in Carlsbad at 7pm. The weather has been warming up, but we still think you’ll want to dress warmly, and maybe even bring a blanket. You can also join us on Zoom with this info:

We Need Your Muscle
By now you’ve probably heard we’re finally replacing the flooring in our building, and we’re saving money by doing the non-skilled labor ourselves. We’re still working out the details for our rip-out-the-carpet-afternoon, but it could be as soon as Sunday, March 7th (1 week from this coming Sunday), so we’re building the team. We’ll meet right after church and get to work. You don’t need any particular skills, you just need to be ready to work. The more volunteers we have, the quicker it will go, so please step up and let us know you can join us by contacting Steve Rogers at 760-500-4324 or email@example.com. Please note – March 7th is not “for sure“, so stay flexible in case it gets delayed by a week!
Building Fund Update
In addition to your muscles, we also need those building donations to finish raising the money for our new flooring. Remember, we’re raising $20,000 for this phase of our building refurbishing. We’re at about 33% of the way to our goal, which is really great. We need to raise about $13,000 more to reach this goal. I love your generosity! To give online, you can click on this link: building-fund donation, or you can send in your check with “building” in the memo line, to Grace Vineyard, 102 N. Freeman Street, Oceanside, 92054.
I’d like to get this out before the afternoon runs out, so I’ll just stop right here. I hope you’re enjoying living the Good Life in God’s eternal kingdom. It’s a life marked by Love, Joy, Peace, Hope, and Faith! See you Sunday 9:30am for another worshipful morning in the Presence of God!
with blessings and love to each of you,
Tithes and Offerings Online
Thank you for your generosity and faithfulness! We could not do what we do without you. We believe God has chosen to meet the material needs of His church through the tithes and offerings of His people. (Tithe means literally 1/10 or 10% of our income). We encourage everybody to be committed to a church family, and if Grace Vineyard is where you are committed, we’ve provided this online tool for you; click on the “donate” button below to get started. (Note: if you’re giving an offering for the building fund or the benevolence fund in addition to your tithe, please mention that in the notes section after you land on our paypal page). THANKS for taking ownership in the life and ministry of Grace Vineyard – it takes all of us!
