Grace Vineyard Weekly Update 01-02-2021

Dear Grace Vineyard and Friends,

We Ohsts just returned to California last night.  We had a wonderful Christmas holiday in Tampa, Florida where Kim’s family lives.  I hope you also had a wonderful time with friends and family enjoying the Lord’s beauty and abundance.  This morning I stood on the beach in Oceanside looking out over our beautiful, powerful ocean, and once again marveled at the incredible fact that He who created the heavens and the earth, and all the amazing life forms…literally everything in our world, took on humanity like a tent to live among us, introduce us to God as a loving Father, die to take our sins away, and rise again as the first fruits of His plan to renew all of creation.  Just wow!  I hope you will join me in worshipful wonder at the greatness of our God as we start another trip around the sun.

“Oh Lord, our Lord, how majestic is your name in all the earth.  You have set your glory above the heavens.” – Psalm 8:1

This is just a quick note to say hi, and make sure you know that we will be gathering virtually online tomorrow for worship, the Word, and fellowship.  One of my favorite theologians/philosophers/authors, Dallas Willard, says “The most important thing in your life is not what you do; it’s who you become. That’s what you will take into eternity.” That’s what we’ll be talking about tomorrow.  If you’d like to prepare your heart for the Word, do a fresh reading of Jesus’ sermon on the mount, starting in Matthew 5.  Ammee, Jay, and their worship band will be leading us in worship, so get your computer/tablet/phone ready to go by 9:30 tomorrow, with your hearts and bodies ready to sing to the Lord in worship.   Here’s the info you need for zoom:

Tithes and Offerings Online

Thank you for your generosity and faithfulness! We could not do what we do without you. We believe God has chosen to meet the material needs of His church through the tithes and offerings of His people. (Tithe means literally 1/10 or 10% of our income). We encourage everybody to be committed to a church family, and if Grace Vineyard is where you are committed, we’ve provided this online tool for you; click on the “donate” button below to get started. (Note: if you’re giving an offering for the building fund or the benevolence fund in addition to your tithe, please mention that in the notes section after you land on our paypal page). THANKS for taking ownership in the life and ministry of Grace Vineyard – it takes all of us!
