October 7, 2023

Hi Everybody.

I got back this evening from the Southern California Vineyard Regional Conference, and even though it’s quite late for our Weekly Update email, I thought I’d send you a quick one just to tell you a few important things for our life together at Grace Vineyard.

1st – the conference was great.  It was in Tehachapi, and if you’re like me, you don’t really know where that even is! It’s a quaint little town in the high desert, and somewhat to the surprise of many, we had about 300 people representing practically every Vineyard church in Southern California.  It was really great time of worship, inspiration, ministry times, and especially great enjoyment of our larger Vineyard family.  If you’ve never been to a Vineyard conference, I hope you’ll try to join us at the next one – I think we’re looking at another national conference for all USA Vineyards in June of 2024…put that somewhere in your brain for the next 9 months!  🙂

I have just 3 things to tell you about in this update:

Another Talk on Spiritual Inheritance

Last Sunday I brought you a message called “Invisible Inheritance: our inheritance in Christ is much greater than we could ever imagine”.  It was an unusual message for me, both in that it was mostly stories, and also in that some of the key concepts and words I received as communication to my spirit directly from the Holy Spirit as best as I could tell, so it was especially personal for me.  This theme of “Spiritual Inheritance” has remained very present in my mind all week long, and I felt we should explore the topic a bit further in the Bible, so that’s what I’m planning for tomorrow morning.  This time we’re talking about “Taking Possession of Our Spiritual Inheritance” as we look at both the Biblical language used to describe the concept of being “Heirs of God”, as well as an example or two of people in the Bible who had an active role in taking possession of the inheritance God had for them.

See you tomorrow at 9:30. If you can’t be with us in person join us online via zoom with this info:  Zoom Meeting ID  153 112 432, Passcode 684814. You may also join us on Facebook Live at facebook.com/gracevcf.

If you’d like to hear the message I brought last week as you prepare your hearts for tomorrow, you can watch it on our YouTube channel right here:

Men’s Breakfast 10-14-2023

We’ve got another men’s breakfast coming up in a week.  Next Saturday we’ll be at Ty’s BurgerHouse again for biscuits and gravy with bacon and sausage, eggs, and some amazing breakfast potatoes.  This month I’m excited to let you know that our own Eric Hall will be bringing an encouraging and inspiring talk.  Eric and Rhonda and their family have been such a beautiful part of Grace Vineyard for many years now, and it’s a joy to have him share with the men again.

Worship Night with CJ Orndorff

And the 3rd thing I wanted to share with you is that CJ Orndorff is going to be in town on October 21st, so we’re going to host him for a night of worship at 6:30 PM.  CJ has given his life to ministering in prisons across the United States for over 20 years, and he’s been a good friend of mine for over 30 years!  He’s joined us in many contexts over the decades – speaking at men’s retreats, joining us for our Christmas Eve gatherings, preaching on Sunday Mornings, leading nights of worship…whatever he does, it is always a MAJOR blessing.  You don’t want to miss this special evening.  He’s full of the Spirit, and he’s and incredible vocalist, and most importantly, a dear brother and friend of Grace Vineyard.  Join us at 6:30 on Saturday, October 21st, at Grace Vineyard.

And that’s it for this update!  See you all in the morning

With love and blessings to each of you,

Ron Ohst
