Hello Grace Vineyard and Friends!
This last week was awesome! Our time together Sunday was so wonderful – the way we encountered the Presence of the Lord when we were worshiping, and the warm fellowship we shared as we enjoyed the delicious food from our Fellowship Lunch (Thank you Susan Franke and team for all your work putting that together!) made Sunday a joy. I love being part of this Grace Vineyard family with you. Good news: Susan and her team are planning on doing another Fellowship Lunch on the first Sunday in July! Then on Monday night a bunch of you came out for our Fundraiser Dinner and Raffle for Orphans in Zambia. Thank you for all your support – because of your help, our team will be able to take a bunch of gifts for the kids when we go to see them at the end of July.
Continuing with the REAL series this Sunday
Last Sunday I taught on the topic “REAL GOD – Encountering His Glory and Goodness Together”, which as I mentioned last week, was a reference to the descriptive phrase in our logo
If missed it (or you’d like to hear it again), we put the sermon on youtube for your convenience. You can watch it here:
This week I plan on looking into the 2nd Phrase, “REAL PEOPLE”, which we more fully describe like this: Real People – Come as you are. We grow by getting real with God and others in genuine, caring relationships. “Every day they continued to meet together in the temple courts. They broke bread in their homes and ate together with glad and sincere hearts, praising God and enjoying the favor of all the people. And the Lord added to their number daily those who were being saved.”
– Acts 2:46-47
I’m going to dive into some of the many scriptures where we learn about our calling to grow spiritually as we together experience the transforming power of God’s Grace.
If you are unable to join us in person at 9:30am on Sunday, you can join us online via Zoom with this info: https://us02web.zoom.us/j/153112432?pwd=WlJjbWZNeHo0NXBKM0VvbDkrYXV2QT09, Meeting ID: 153 112 432, Password: 684814)
Check out Sunday Nights at Grace This Week
While we’re talking about REAL GOD | REAL PEOPLE | RESTORING LIVES, did you know that one of our best meetings that embodies these values is Sunday Nights at Grace? Think about planning on joining us this Sunday at 6pm for an intimate time of worship, close and personal fellowship around the Bible, and empowered prayer ministry. You’ll love it!
Evening of Worship June 19th
Coming up a week from this Sunday evening, we are planning an Evening of Worship at 6:30pm on June 19th. There will be light refreshments, music, prayer, and encouragement! This will also be one of Anita Bradnum’s last Sunday evenings with us before she moves to England, so it will be a bit of a send off service as well. We hope you can join us!
If you happen to read this email before 8am on Saturday morning, June 11th, also know that it is time for our monthly Men’s Breakfast. This month we are excited to welcome Howard Anderson, pastor of Refuge Christian Fellowship. Howard has been ministering in North County since the 1980s! He and his wife Lucia join us on Thursday nights for the small group that meets in the church lobby, and it has been great building a relationship with them. Men, don’t miss this one! Saturday, June 11, 8am, at Ty’s Burger House, 515 Mission Ave (around the corner from Grace Vineyard on Mission Ave).
And that’s it for this week’s update. Have a wonderful weekend, and I’ll see you on Sunday morning!
Blessings and love to each of you,
