Hello Grace Vineyard and Friends,
It’s the last weekend of May – Happy Friday! I hope you’re having another wonderful week in beautiful San Diego. A friend stopped by from Murietta/Temecula area this week, and we took a few minutes to walk down to the beach as we talked. Even though our perennial “May Gray” is in force, it is always beautiful; it’s just amazing that we live so close to the beautiful Pacific Ocean and stand on its shore any time we want. I am so grateful to be here!
This is a very special weekend, and we have a lot of life to step into. I’m sure you’re all aware that it is Pentecost on Sunday, and it is Memorial Day on Monday. We kick off the weekend in a few hours for women of Grace tonight at 7pm at Face to Face.
Face to Face Friday Night at 7pm
Face to Face is our monthly (roughly) all ladies Home Group. Tonight the ladies are meeting at the beautiful home of Sheri Winter, 4538 Coronado Dr., Oceanside. Jesus Walk, Saturday 10am
We’ve been looking forward to this Saturday ever since the last Jesus walk a little over a month ago on April 15. We’re going to meet at the Oceanside Parking Structure and walk along the strand engaging with people along the way. We’ll have somebody with a guitar helping us sing Jesus songs, and we’ll talk with and pray with people. Pretty Simple. Pretty Powerful. Check out this short video of stories from the last one:

Youth Bake Sale Sunday After Church
My mouth is watering! Look at those chocolate chip cookies!! This Sunday, right after church, our youth are putting on a bake sale to raise funds to help them get to summer camp in June. I am excited about Ignite camp this year with other youth groups from Vineyard churches in Southern California, and I want to see every youth that wants to go be able to go. So bring your cash and credit cards on Sunday and support these kids. You’re also welcome to simply make a financial donation for the youth. Marriage Getaway Early Bird Pricing Ends May 31
We’ve been joining married couples from North County churches for our annual Marriage Getaway for over a decade now, and they are always GREAT! Our 13th annual Marriage Getaway returns in 2023 to the gorgeous La Quinta Resort & Club. The 45 lush acres of the La Quinta Resort feature 7 restaurants, 41 climate-controlled pools, 21 tennis courts, eight pickleball courts, and a spa. Your Couple Weekend Ticket includes a two-night stay in a King Bed Casita, self-parking, resort fees & taxes, Marriage Getaway event admission for all three days, and Saturday & Sunday continental breakfast. Each couple has the opportunity to extend their stay up to 3 nights prior and 3 nights post the Marriage Getaway Weekend for an additional cost. Check out this highlight video:

Couple Weekend Ticket: $599.00 early bird price if paid in full before May 31st, 2023 ($649 beginning 6/1/23) A deposit of $299 is due at registration. Includes: Two-night stay at the La Quinta Resort & Club, self-parking, resort fees & taxes, Marriage Getaway event admission for Friday, Saturday, and Sunday, as well as Saturday & Sunday continental breakfast – one muffin and piece of fruit per person, coffee and tea.
Extend Your Stay: For an additional fee you may add up to three-nights prior and three-nights after the Marriage Getaway event at our group rate of $239 per night which includes taxes, fees and parking. This option will be available during registration and must be paid in full once added.

Full Time, Active Duty Military Scholarships Available:
Due to generous donors, we currently have full scholarships available for Military couples and would like to give these scholarships to 2 military couples per partnering church. We do ask the military couples to make a $100 deposit to hold their spot and that deposit will be refunded to them when they check in. Please refer full time, active duty military couples to our website where they can apply for the scholarship. Empowered – Pentecost Sunday
This weekend is the culmination of our 6 week series called Empowered. The world around us longs for real spiritual experiences. Pentecost Sunday celebrates the outpouring of God’s experienced presence as recorded in the book of Acts. Contrary to popular belief, the story of the Bible is mostly not about getting to Heaven, it’s the reality of Heaven getting into us. Life with God makes all things right. “This is real like gravity is real.” This Sunday will include a very special surprise guest, so I hope you won’t stay home! We’ll close our time with a prayer opportunity for everyone who is seeking to be freshly filled with the Holy Spirit!
