April 30, 2021
Hi Grace Vineyard and Friends,
I hope you are having a great week as we head into this weekend. What beautiful weather we are having in San Diego!
This is going to be a great evening for tonight’s Face to Face women’s group in Shannon Frye’s Backyard, so let me just start by giving you those details
Face to Face is Friday, April 30, 7pm
Face to Face is our monthly women’s in person small group. Join the Women of Grace in Shannon Frye’s backyard Friday, April 30, at 7pm. The address is 2044 Chestnut Ave, Carlsbad. If you have any questions, text or call Kim Ohst at 760-519-4558. This month we are excited to hear from Treina Nash. We’ll start out with worship led by our very own Ammee Huzil. This is a wonderful evening of fellowship, worship, and inspiration, so we hope all you women will join us!
Welcome Chaplain Jason DiPinto this Coming Sunday
Some of you might remember when Lt Commander Jason DiPinto was our guest speaker in one of our Sunday mornings in the parking lot back in September. We just happened to have put that one up on youtube, so if you would like to remember that day, here ya go.
Jason just got married at the beginning of April (Congratulations, Jason and Christina!) so we were really excited he would be able to join us on this first Sunday in May. If you’d like to know a little bit more about Jason, click here for his bio.
Here’s some upcoming events I hope you will put on your calendar:
National Day of Prayer at Oceanside City Hall
For 70 years now, American presidents have been proclaiming the 1st Thursday of May as the official National Day of Prayer. We are planning an hour of prayer for our nation from 12 noon to 1pm just outside the Oceanside City Hall counsel chamber steps. This will be a fairly informal gathering, and we’d love to have as many people join us as can. There are other prayer events around the county, and you can probably find some of them at https://www.nationaldayofprayer.org/. If you can’t join us at Oceanside City Hall on May 6th, check out https://www.nationaldayofprayer.org/2021_national_observance for a livestream event you can join later in the evening at 5pm.
Activate Love Workshop on May 29
I have invited my good friend Jamie Weston to put on another of his “Activate Love” workshops. We’ve been friends for years, and Jamie has led and trained numbers of people in practical ways of demonstrating God’s love in word and deed in our every day lives. I hope many of you will join me in spending a day to grow in this area. We’ll start out at 9:30am with worship, equipping, and impartation. After lunch, we’ll go out into Oceanside an put into practice what we’ve been learning. Then we’ll return to share stories and debrief. You’re going to love it. And you might be a little scared, so you’ll have to “cross the chicken line” like we often say! Go to gracevcf.org/activate-love for more info and to register.

Tithes and Offerings Online
Thank you for your generosity and faithfulness! We could not do what we do without you. We believe God has chosen to meet the material needs of His church through the tithes and offerings of His people. (Tithe means literally 1/10 or 10% of our income). We encourage everybody to be committed to a church family, and if Grace Vineyard is where you are committed, we’ve provided this online tool for you; click on the “donate” button below to get started. (Note: if you’re giving an offering for the building fund or the benevolence fund in addition to your tithe, please mention that in the notes section after you land on our paypal page). THANKS for taking ownership in the life and ministry of Grace Vineyard – it takes all of us!
